LyondellBasell : Sergey Vasnetsov Named Senior Vice President Strategic Planning and Transactions

LyondellBasell Industries N.V. announced that Sergey Vasnetsov has been named Senior Vice President, Strategic Planning and Transactions. Vasnetsov joins the company from Barclays Capital where he was Managing Director and Head of the Global Chemical Research Group.

Vasnetsov has worked since 1996 at several investment banks providing economic and financial research of the chemical industry. He has been recognized as one of the leading chemical analysts by the Institutional Investor Magazine in each of 2000-2009 annual investor surveys, and he brings a broad and deep knowledge of the global chemical industry.

Vasnetsov has a master of science in Kinetics and Catalysis from the University of Novosibirsk, Russia. He was a George Soros Scholar at Oxford University (UK) and later earned an MBA in finance from Rutgers University. He started his industrial career as a senior chemist at Union Carbide.
