SIBUR and Salavatnefteorgsintez JSC are establishing a joint venture

JSC Salavatnefteorgsintez and SIBUR Holding JSC have signed a memorandum of mutual understanding in which the parties have declared intention to establish a joint venture - OOO Salavat Neftekhim Petrochemical Complex (OOO «SPKC»). The memorandum provides realization of the SPKC project on a par. The new enterprise supposed to be situated on the industrial site of the Salavatnefteorgsintez JSC shall be operated by project team to be formed jointly.

It is planned that SPKC shall become a large industrial complex including large-capacity production of lowest olefins (ethylene, propylene) by steam cracking of straight-run gasoline and liquefied hydrocarbon gases, and down-stream processes for further processing of olefins and steam-cracker by-products into marketable petrochemical products: polyethylene, polypropylene, ethylene glycol, benzene, butadiene.
