Uralchimplast settles the output of low-temperature proppants

The specialists of OAO “Uralchimplast” started settling of the output of polymer coated proppants for low temperature wells (from 35 degrees). There are no analogues to grade NORDPROPP 1100 (code name) in Russia.

According to the analists’ estimates about 8 thousand of domestic wells in Yakutiya, in Sakhalin and in Western Sibiria work in the low temperature conditions, - Dmitry Ivchenko, the head of commercial department of OAO “Uralchimplast” comments.- after analyzing the market, we took a decision about the perspective of the like developments.

The production of polymer coated proppants was started in OAO “Uralchimplast” in April, 2008. At present the results of the tests of the samples of OAO “Uralchimplast” production were received from the independent laboratory FracTech (Great Britain). The product, the basis of which are proppants of production of the world’s leader company “CarboCeramics”, is certified. The results of the first NORDPROPP shipments are positive.
