Arkema to increase prices of its tin stabilizers by 8% in Europe

Due to the recent surge in the cost of tin metal and non-tin raw materials, as well as energy, transportation and various regulatory compliance, Arkema’s Functional Additives Business Unit announces an 8% price increase for its Thermolite® tin stabilizers product line in Europe, effective April 1st 2008.

Thermolite® stabilizers are based on mono and di alkyl tin systems, and are designed for rigid and transparent PVC applications, in particular for food and pharmaceutical contact. They have been used in these applications for many years, and have proved to be safe and highly effective.
