Chemtura Raises Prices on Reofos(R) BAPP Flame Retardant

Chemtura Corporation announces an off-list price increase of $0.50/ kg for its Reofos(R) BAPP flame retardant, effective January 15, 2008, or where contracts allow. The price increase is in addition to the previously announced price increase effective October 15, 2007.

Reofos is the preferred flame retardant in several applications, including PC/ABS used in electronic housings. Increasing global demand for Reofos(R) BAPP flame retardant continues to challenge the ability to supply the growing demands of the market. Key raw materials also continue to escalate in cost. This increase will further contribute to achieving reinvestment economics to better serve the needs of Chemtura customers.
