Nizhnekamskneftekhim INC launched production of LiBR

Synthetic Isoprene Rubber Plant of “Nizhnekamskneftekhim” INC commenced to produce another type of rubber – polybutadiene on lithium catalyst. At present, process conditions are being adjusted.

LiBR is applied to produce HIPS and ABS-plastics and is a potential substitute for the imported polybutadiene rubber "Buna 529T". The design capacity of the Unit (50 Ktpa) will enable to cover not only the captive needs but also the needs of other domestic and overseas consumers.

A new inhouse-designed production line is flexible in that it can be, if necessary, readjusted to produce other types of rubber, inter alia, SBR.

After LiBR Unit is commissioned, “Nizhnekamskneftekhim” INC will be able to offer to users a set of 7 types of rubber, including the most up-to-date ones applied to produce "green" tires and unique plastics.
