| Subject: | Russian polymer market is gradually coming out of the crisis. In 2010 the consumption of large-capacity plastics reached indices of 2007-2008, in some polymer raw materials groups they were even exceeded. Polymers prices almost achieved the pre-crisis level.
Russian and the CIS polymers production capacities can’t satisfy the market demand – both in volumes and in grade assortment. In spite of new capacities input, Russia still occupies 5th position among world polymers importers (PE, PP, PVC, PS and PET). Starting from 2013 new capacities will be put into operation, their products will be focused on import replacement. But even after launch of new projects, European and Asian companies will supply more polymers, these market conditions will directly influence the situation in the CIS countries.
