CREON takes pleasure in informing you about the IV Moscow International Conference «Polycarbonate 2007» which is scheduled for October 10, 2007. The event will be held at “Baltschug Kempinski” Hotel.
Polycarbonate and mixtures based on it play the important role at the Russian market of construction materials. The production of PC goods for construction, architecture, translucent constructions prevail in the Russian PC consumption structure. Development of the new projects for honeycomb PC sheets and profile-moldings production is going on.
The Russian market of polycarbonate fully depends on import, because at the moment there is no domestic polycarbonate producing facilities. The biggest volumes of PC are imported from Europe countries and the Asian Region. The participants of the previous events devoted to PC subject («Polycarbonate 2004», «Polycarbonate 2005», «Polycarbonate 2006» conferences) more than once noted that the Russian structure of PC consumption noticeably differs from the general one. Russian PC consumption is focused at the honeycomb PC sheets and profile-moldings, other PC processing sectors are undeveloped due to the high cost of imported PC and the generous amount of imported final products. At «Polycarbonate 2006» conference Kazanorgsintez announced start-up of the wide range PC processing enterprise, the commissioning of which was scheduled for the end of current year. According to our reckoning it will give an impulse to the Russian PC market development and make it possible to enlarge the field of its application in unconventional for Russian producers sector of industry.
