PLASTICS INDUSTRY SHOW 2007 : The 8th International Specialized Exhibition of plastics processing

The exhibition gathered 250 manufacturers and traders including 160 Russian (64% of the total) and 110 foreign companies (36%) from 21 countries: Belgium, Brazil, United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Canada, China, Korea, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Belarus, Russia, USA, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, Finland, France.
Besides Russian distributors represented 79 foreign and 5 domestic producers. 88 Moscow firms were among Russian participants.
As compared to 2004, the exposition showed 70% growth. The total exhibition area comprised 7,860 sq. m.
The exhibition was highly appreciated by its new participants, particularly by French company OGTP and Finnish T.Oinonen. OGTP is a major producer of high-quality plastics for various industries. Among the company's clients there are: Renault, ABB, Moulinex, Nokia, and Chanel, whose original plastic shoes were presented at the OGTP stand, together with other products and samples. T.Oinonen provides to Russia standard parts and plates for injection moulding, die casting and punching tools.
General Electric and its authorized distributor Sigmaplast presented a full range of engineering plastics, from polycarbonate to polyether-imides. The company also introduced new material Xylex which combines transparency, flexibility, and stability under chemical treatment. This material can be used for cell phones and glass frames production, in domestics and electronics.
Changzhou Hengly Machinery, Chinese producer of extrusion plants, supplies extrusion equipment to Russia and the CIS countries. 10 lines have been already installed at the plants in Yaroslavl, Ufa, Omsk, as well as in the Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Georgia. The injection plant for flat film and flat thread production was presented at the company's stand.
For the first time Aleko Group, Russian producer of polyethylene production equipment, introduced ALEKO-500 extrusion line for plastic film production and ALEKO-TEK U1 plastic bags producing machine.
Among permanent exhibitors there were well known Russian suppliers of raw materials: Kaustic (Sterlitamak), Salavatnefteorgsintez, Sibur, Ural Chemical Company. Europlastic company represented Nizhnekamskneftechim, the leading Russian producer of polystirol and other chemical products, and Neftechimsavilen, a high-pressure polyethylene plant.
Two - day International Scientific and Practical Conference "New Technologies of Polymers Developing and Treatment" was carried out within the framework of the exhibition. The Conference gathered 100 specialists from 50 companies. 27 reports were delivered.
Winners of the Third International Contest "Best Industrial Polymeric Materials and Products'2005" were rewarded with 5 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze medals and diplomas of the International Specialized Exhibition “Plastics Industry Show 2005”.
