For the first time PackPlastic-Russia was organized in 2002. The exhibition showcased the biggest sector of the packaging market - polymeric and flexible packages, raw materials, machinery and equipment for manufacture of polymeric and combined packaging materials and packages, outfits for converting.
PackPlastic-Russia exhibition rose up from the relevant sector of the worldwide known Rosupak exhibition. The first PackPlastic-Russia was held simultaneously with Rosupak. The big Hall № 2 of Sokolniki Culture & Exhibition Centre where the exposition of Packplastic-Russia-2002 was located could not house all wishing to attend. The great interest towards the exhibition made the organizers to extend the space and hold the next edition of PackPlastic-Russia separately.
Nowadays the manufacture of polymeric, combined and flexible packaging constitutes 28% of the whole volume of packaging production. The demand for the mentioned kinds of packaging constantly grows which results in the increase of the number of visitors to PackPlastic-Russia exhibition.
